The house was great. Looked the same as it does in the pictures. Furnishings were very comfortable. The area was quiet. Lots of space. House was very clean. Kitchen was fully stocked. Very nice house. We enjoyed staying there.

We were told the hot tub was not working when we arrived. We know we signed a contract stating that if anything was broken that it would not result in an refund. But not being told until the day of put a damper on everyone's vacation. Being in the hot tub and watching the snow fall was something all of us were looking forward to. That's the main reason we booked this home. We left a day early just because we didn't fell like staying anymore. Overall the house was nice but I'd recommend taking the hot tub completely off the listing until it is fixed.

I spent Memorial Day weekend with my husband and 2 dogs over Memorial Day weekend. The condo was newly renovated, had a good view, quiet area, close to Boone and Blowing Rock. Everything worked as it should and the kitchen was one of the best stocked!

The condo was fine as a place to stay but the people doing the cleaning need to up their game. In the kitchen where they have the dog bowls the towelthey were sitting on was a dirty towel along with pieces of dog food on the towel and under the towel.The oven is filthy and the walk way and steps leading up to the door looked they had not been swept in a long time.The patio out back was covered in leaves and dirt. We cleaned two of the rockers and table because when we wiped them down the rags were filthy.I realize the deck can get dirty but it doesn't get that dirty if cleaned when each party checks out.We also realized after we got to the condo the beds had no sheets, pillowcases, towels or washcloths. We did call and met the lady with Jenkins and picked up sheets and bath towels, washcloths and hand towels.I was very disappointed in light of all of this. We have a few pictures that we have tried to se d but so far have not gone through.

Deer Ridge unit 146-2 is on an eastern slope of the Appalachian Ski Mountain just north of Blowing Rock, NC.

It is a nice, clean 2 bedroom, 2 bath top-floor condo with a large living room and eat-in kitchen. Wi-Fi works great, Comcast standard cable with lots of channels is included in all 3 rooms (plus DVD in living room and VHS in twin-bed room). A strong feature is central A/C, which is quiet, and despite the altitude is desirable in summer in mountain homes due to rain and/or humidity - it is very nice to have.

The décor is a bit old-fashioned and a bit crowded with furniture, but is comfortable. (When all the new electronics are added to these older homes, wiring and unit placement also causes some crowding, but better to have the TVs, cable boxes, DVDs, etc. than not.) The queen bed is low and firm, and while we did not use the twin beds, they are also low and seem a bit softer. The deck offers a great eastward view of the valley and the near ridges across Hwy 321, and though there are trees close by, they do not yet obstruct the view from this unit.

The road to Deer Ridge is pretty easy and not too mountain-like, not very steep, and only a few back and forth curves. These condos are located uphill from the Tweetsie Railroad, and during operating hours you will hear the steam engine's whistle and its huffing and puffing, see smoke rising, and hear the gunfight as the train is robbed, though you cannot see the train due to trees.

Overall, Deer Ridge 146-2 offers a really nice stay, with a view, in the Blowing Rock, NC area.

This propeorty has a lot of potential. It is very dated and needs to be cleaned other than the middle of the floor. Mattresses need to be replaced.

House was very comfortable. Had a wonderful deck with the view out the back of the deep ravine with woods. Beds were comfortable and well appointed. Kitchen had everything we needed.

Whispering Winds was amazing! The house was clean, spacious, and full of light. We had a blast skiing and shopping. The location of this cabin made it so easy and stress free.

Charming cabin with exceptional sunset views, large deck, and surrounded by beautiful mountain laurel and rhododendren. Great get-a-away tucked into the mountain side. Great location but you can't be in a hurry to get anywhere due to winding, gravel roads but a wonderful way to get a dose of peace and quiet in the mountains.

The cabin was perfect for our family to stay in for a quick weekend trip. The view was beautiful, the setting peaceful and the location convenient.

The view in our place was great! There was plenty of space and all things were as they were described! A few suggestions - the directions for getting to the property could be more clear, ESPECIALLY for late arrivals. This is the first rental I have had where the linens were a separate request and I didn't notice until AFTER we booked so don't miss that!

The view was great, but needed central air. We were very hot through the night. We had a good time at the property, but needed better direct tv.

Cabin in the Sky was the perfect destination retreat for our situation. The week was to celebrate my BIG birthday, so various family and friends joined me to experience the beauty of the site and view and area, and the warmth of the cabin.

We had a great stay in Blowing Rock. This rental was fully equipped and was very comfortable. It was in great shape and I can’t think of anything to improve upon. It is a great location cause you can walk to everything in town. Would definitely go back and stay there again.

Overall the condo was good,, no blow dryers in bath. No lamps at master bedroom, interned and TV was spotty.

We had a good stay. Melanie was wonderful! She showed us how to connect to the regular TV programs. We hit a rainy period so we walked in the morning and read and watched TV in the afternoon. The condo doesn't have AC and we never felt the need of it. We didn't even use the ceiling fans after the first few days. The kitchen suppl ies were there except for limited Dishwasher derteergent. The two kitchen utensil drawers need to be weeded out. It was hard to find what we needed. There was no bathmat in the bathroom. That should be included with the linens. I would also suggest that linens be included without an extra charge. We liked being on the ground floor and having a terrace outside. One of the terrace chairs was missing and needs to be replaced.

Our original rental got sold a couple days before so got this one instead. By all means read the fine print of lease agreement!!! No towels or sheets provided at all. Never have I heard that. Room needs upgrades. Both bedrooms did NOT have cable, only dvd’s, and master bedroom didn’t even work at all on top of that. Fireplace doesn’t work, which I was looking forward to. We made do.

our pipes frozen we needed a home and Jenkins Rentals came to the rescue once again. Alexis and Melanie worked magic to find us a home till our pipes unfroze. This property has a great kitchen, comfortable beds and all the comforts you’d expect.
