If your looking for a beautiful mountain home to getaway from the phone and let your dog run. This is the perfect home. Well furnished great view from the balcony. I stay at this home every year. Property staff is always availabe and the house is always clean.

Beautiful home in a beautiful, secluded location. However, there is slight price to pay for this seclusion. There are almost 2 miles of unsaved road that is very curvy and steep going in with a gravel driveway that drops at about a 45 degree angle. Be sure to bring at least a front drive vehicle if not a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The property was beautiful, especially with all the rhododendrons in bloom and a gorgeous view of the mountains from the back deck. The absence of the extension ladder tied to the back deck certainly would have enhanced the view. On cloudy days, the internet became quite slow. If you have a dish, the TV should be no problem for you. This was our second vacation there and we loved the area, from Blowing Rock, to Grandfather Mountain, to Boone. The owners obviously put a lot of love and care into this property and make special mention of information pertaining to care for your pet(s)..... pet supplies, veterinarian, etc. They love animals which makes them OK in my book.

Great views and cabin, but not for everyone. Topography very steep and challenging for elderly people. Pet friendly but difficult to take out. Road to cabin a one-lane, gravel, dark nightmare. Cabin well equipped and clean. DVD player could be updated. Great for large group

We had a short visit, but the house fit us well and had all that we needed for the weekend. It was very clean beautifully decorated. The stairs to the lower bedrooms are a bit steep and may be difficult for anyone with difficulties moving. The terrain outside of the house is also steep and not for walks in the woods. Jenkins Rentals' office was close and easy to find and they were easy to work with.

If you want space this is your place. If want beauty this is your place. If you want comfort this is your place. If you need or want internet this is NOT your place. We were extremely disappointed with the internet. A family of 7 with one very upset 4 yrs old who wanted to watch her tablet and could not. With the amount this place cost you would think they could have a better internet. I get it's in the mountains but we have stayed at other cabins not to far from this one with excellent internet. Other than that complaint it is perfect

What a fantastic vacation log home! The home is located 4-5 miles outside of Blowing Rock. Once you leave the main highway, much of the drive is over gravel road that snakes down and up and around hairpin curves, but once you get used to that short drive - the view, the solitude and absence of any sort of noise was certainly welcoming. My wife and I talked about vacationing in Blowing Rock in the Spring, but finding a location just off the road. I looked at her and said, “Think about it. This place is perfect. The view, solitude, everything you come to the mountains for.” The internet was a little sluggish, but acceptable. The satellite TV constantly froze on every channel, but then again, we were there for change of pace - peace and quiet. I should mention the beautiful landscaping below the decks. Beautiful! The owners (beautiful family) value this property as a home, not just a vacation rental. We’ll definitely be back in the Spring.

The place was very clean. LOTS of space. The view is absolutely gorgeous rain or shine. There’s also some really good eats close to this location. Fun bars too. Just wish the place had a hot tub ;)

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Ollie's Overlook. I read prior reviews, but was not expecting to enjoy it as much as we did. It was very spacious, cozy, and the views are breathtaking. Kitchen is fully stocked. Beds are very comfortable. Make sure to have a 4WD vehicle to get to and from the cabin during the winter months. Wifi was not that bad. We took an additional hotspot and we were able to get things done...slowly, but got them done. Kids had a great time! We will definitely come back!

I recently stayed with a group of friends and family at this cabin, it was an awesome place to stay! It was very clean, enough room for everyone and very cozy and homey. The view from the decks was beautiful. One thing is if you’re a light sleeper the wind gets pretty strong up on the mountain and you can hear it through the cabin, and you’ll definitely need fore wheel drive to get out of the icy driveway in the winter! Jenkins Rentals also always got back to me in a timely manner. Overall a great place to stay. I will definitely be back.

We had to go to the top of the driveway to text photos or videos. We loved everything else about this property, and plan to come back again!

I had never been to the mountains before and the view from the back deck was absolutely breathtaking.

We loved the cabin. Very private and quiet location. Clean and well appointed. Internet access is really a 'MiFi' 4G dongle which provide limited bandwidth.

The best part of the house is the porch with its sweeping view. We spent most of our time out there while at the house, which was clean and well equipped. Our only difficulty was the steep drive. It may need to be repacked.

The cabin is beautiful and well appointed. Easily accommodated the six of us with an additional bedroom. Fantastic views from the covered deck. We cooked in 5 out of the 6 nights and the kitchen and dining area are plenty big. Could hear the quite at night. Enjoyed the horseshoe pit. Love the cabin. Although pretty close to Blowing Rock, it does seem remote. Only issue was the drive getting in and out from the property. Needs grading.

Have used Jenkins at least 5-6 times and it has always been a pleasure to deal with the staff. The houses have been just as pictured, clean and stocked. Always a wonderful experience.

This was our second stay there. Comfy, great views although the drive up th hill isn't for the faint of heart.

Our experience was great. The house was very spacious and nice. The view was great. The road there was a little tricky. We had two vehicles, one with 4WD and one without and had a little trouble getting out of the driveway with the car without 4WD. We would definitely recommend this property to friends but would caution them about the road.

I was responsible for renting the house for our group's 40th ASU reunion so I wanted it to be nice. The house was lovely and great for a group. It has a beautiful view and is perfect for star gazing at night. There is a dirt road to the property but we were there in the fall with no problems. I would suggest they have add a few extra blankets because the temperature varies between the basement, main and loft floors. Everyone agreed we would rent it again.

I booked ollies overlook through Jenkins Rental. The rental company was friendly and helped me with any questions I had. You have to take dirt road to the property so if planning on coming in the winter I'd suggest 4x4 jeep. For the best views that you want you have to take a dirt road to go these cabins. The cabin was super clean. Had everything in it that we were lookin for. I can't think of anything that we needed and wasn't available. Kids loved it. Foosball table. Movies for kids.

Town was wonderful. Cabin was wonderful. Great, pet friendly location. Wonderful vacation and would rent every year.

We took a family vacation to Blowing Rock and stayed at Ollie's Overlook. The house is beautiful, full of light and so cozy! The gardens were in bloom and were gorgeous. Everyone had their own space, and the porches were so nice for breakfast and sunsets!

We have rented from Jenkins Rentals on several other occasions while our daughter was at App, and we have always been pleased. This house was incredible and exceeded our expectations. We have a large family and this house was so well suited for a big group. The table and living area was especially nice--plenty of room for all of us to be in the same place and eat together. The upstairs was even more spacious than it looked--plenty of room for some air mattresses along with the suitcases etc. for those sleeping on those. Found everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking and grilling. Location was PERFECT--it was private and secluded, but easy to access. Great area for parking--super deck. The view was AMAZING --all the large windows really allowed you to enjoy it from the inside!!! Would totally rent this place again!!

Wonderful home for our family gathering to visit with our two students at App State and to see the sights. Skiing, snowboarding and tubing are nearby for added fun. Enjoyed shopping and dining in Boon.

Jenkins was great to work with. Loved the cabin. Was disappointed with no hot tub. The road to get there was rough. Glad we had a 4x4.

Due to Hurricane Matthew and the mandatory evacuation, my family and I decided to head to Blowing Rock. Jenkins Rentals was easy to work with and very helpful with finding a house to meet our needs on such short notice. The house was in perfect condition and only a short drive to town. Highly recommend this house and company.

Ollie's is a great cabin offering wonderful sunrise and sunset views. It is spacious, comfortable and efficient. The kitchen has everything you need and more. Layout was good, beds were comfy. We enjoyed our stay but would make the following notes for travelers renting Ollie's. It's down a long gravel road (2 miles), ask about WiFi, cell reception is spotty at best (it is the mountains), bathrooms do not have rugs or anything to stand on after showering and we would suggest that linens be included instead of "renting". Packing linens takes up a lot of room. It was very clean when we arrived and we left it better than when we arrived.

Lovely house, well designed, perfect for its site. The only downsides were lack of WiFi and the rough roads for getting in and out.

A great place for a larger group to get together. Clean and Comfortable with all necessary amenities. Easy drive to Blowing Rock. Great porch and lucky enough to see a passing fawn early one morning! Driveway steep. Great trip, fun was had by all!

It was great!

We rented two houses for a family of 19! It was perfect. The layout was great, the kids could go up in the loft or play horseshoes/football or hike. We served Thanksgiving dinner and had plenty of space. The couples with small children had the whole downstairs and the grandparents never had to leave the main floor. The only aspect that you need to get used to is going up and down the mountain as it isn't paved-but super easy to navigate. You are right there near the Blowing Rock, downtown and Boone is a short drive. Loved it!!!

My family of 8 adults stayed at Ollie's for a couple days and it was great! The view couldn't have been better! We had a great time just sitting out of the porch and enjoying the view as we'll as cooking in the kitchen and playing card games around the huge kitchen table! It was a perfect place and we will definitely come back!

My daughter and grands, who live in Germany, and my son (in DC) shared time with my greyhound Romeo and me in the NC mountains. We loved our mountain house and our time together. We had expected WIFI and did not realize the remoteness of the location until arrival; however, we enjoyed our stay. The rain and fog the first few days only made our visit even better when the sun came out and we could enjoy the magnificent view!

We took some friends from the UK to the mountains for a brief vacation and had an enjoyable time. The house fit us very well and our time away was very relaxing.

We were very happy with Jenkins'Realty and would definitely use them again. Our cabin, Ollie's Overlook, was very clean and had magnificent views! Close enough to towns and shopping. We had a wonderful time going to Tweetsie Railroad and Grandfather Mountain and visiting the local shops in Blowing Rock and the restaurant, Daniel Boone, in Boone, NC along with the shops there, especially Mast General Store and other shops in town. The only negative for me personally was that there was not an easy shower to use nor anything to hold onto. I am a little handicapped with arthritis and have had two knee replacements. The gravel road up to the cabin is pretty narrow and if you go in the winter I think you would have to have a 4 wheel drive. There were eight of us in our party ranging in age from 12 to 70 and we all did have a great time!
